Roy J. Lefeber, age 95, of rural St. Cloud "St. Joe", passed away peacefully Monday, November 21, 2016, at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mount Calvary.
He was born December 12, 1920, a son of the late Joseph & Gertrude (Horn) Lefeber. On September 1, 1942, he married the former Florence Gau at St. Cloud Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Florence preceded him in death on September 26, 2013.
Roy lived and farmed on the family homestead in the Town of Marshfield in St. Joe. In addition, he worked at Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein for 25 years until his retirement.
Roy and Florence traveled to Germany, Alaska, Hawaii and other interesting places in the United States after his retirement. He also loved helping his sons with any projects they needed done throughout the years of his life.
Roy was a member of St. Isidore Parish – St. Joseph Church in St. Joe.
He is survived by his five sons, Gordon Lefeber, Paul (Janice) Lefeber and Michael (Annette) Lefeber all of rural St. Cloud "St. Joe", James (Leasa) Lefeber of Fond du Lac and Joseph (Linda) Lefeber of Las Vegas, NV; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph & Gertrude Lefeber; his wife, Florence Lefeber; an infant daughter, Diane Ann; an infant great-granddaughter; two sisters, Mildred Schaefer and Esther Salmon and two brothers, Leo Lefeber and Ervin Lefeber.
A Mass of Liturgy of the Word Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, November 28, 2016, at St. Isidore Parish – St. Cloud Church, 924 Main Street St. Cloud, Wisconsin 53079. Rev. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap. will officiate. Roy will be laid to rest next to his wife in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Marshfield in St. Joe.
Visitation: Family and friends may pay their respect to the family at the Sippel Funeral Home, 1311 Thorp Street St. Cloud, WI 53079, on Monday, November 28th from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM when brief rites will be held at the funeral home.
