Ruth H. Boll, age 76, of New Holstein died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Homestead Care Center with her family at her side following a brief battle with cancer.
The former Ruth Fluhr was born February 6, 1935 in Chilton to the late John & Marie (Krautkramer) Fluhr.
She attended St. Mary's Grade School in Chilton and graduated from Chilton High School in 1954.
On November 6, 1954, she married John Boll at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilton.
Ruth was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. She liked to knit afghans, travel, and golf. She enjoyed cooking and canning too.
Survivors include her husband, John of New Holstein; her five children, Paul Boll of Elkhart Lake, Douglas Boll of Omaha, NE and his special friend, Jody Golden, Daniel (Wendy) Boll of Kiel, Brian (Monica) Boll of New Holstein and Cynthia Gerhartz of New Holstein and her friend Tom Schneider; 13 grandchildren, William Boll and his fiancé, Marie, Christa (Jason) Mueller, Courtney Boll, Alexandra Boll, Drew Devine, Michelle (Brian) Haensgen, Travis (Melissa) Boll, Jenna (Kyle) Bratz, Adam & Lucas Boll, and Alyssa, Quinten, and Brooke Gerhartz; four great-grandchildren with her fifth grandchild expecting in July; three sisters, Ethel (Alvin) Dedering of Milwaukee, Alice Flandrena of Milwaukee, and Dorothy (Donald) Richart of Hilbert and her brother, Earl Fluhr of Little Chute and his special friend, Lois.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her daughter-in-law, Lora Boll; a brother, Robert (Carol) Fluhr: and a brother-in-law, William Flandrena.
Family and friends may call at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street in New Holstein on Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Rev. Harold Berryman will officiate.
Entombment will be at the Calvary Mausoleum in Manitowoc.
