Ruth A. Mueller, age 92, of rural Fond du Lac "St. Peter", passed away Friday, December 6, 2024.
She was born November 30, 1932, in Marytown to William & Estella (Wirth) Mueller. Ruth attended St. Mary's Catholic Grade School in Marytown and graduated as Valedictorian from New Holstein High School in 1951.
On January 3, 1953, she married Merlin B. Mueller at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown.
Ruth worked at the former Arps Corp and later on, worked at Tecumseh Engine Products for 17 years. In addition, she and her husband and family operated a dairy farm in the Town of Marshfield near Wolf Lake until retiring in 2002.
Ruth served on the board at Moraine Park Technical College for over 15 years. For many years, Ruth and Merlin belonged to Holy Cross Parish in Mount Calvary until the couple moved to St. Peter where they then joined Holy Family Parish-St. Peter.
Survivors include her husband, Merlin; her five children, Wayne (Linda) Mueller of rural St. Cloud, Ann (Wayne) Daun of rural New Holstein "Marytown", Karen (Jack) Gundert of Malone, James (Darlene) Mueller of rural St. Cloud, and Daniel (Cheryl) Mueller of The Villages, FL; nine grandchildren, Kelly (Phil) Schmitz, Stephanie (Jeff) Schweitzer, Tracy (Nick) Lisowe, Michael (Sarah) Gundert, Timothy (Sarah) Gundert, Jason (Christa) Mueller, Jodi (Alan) Yurk, Lisa (Deric) Boone, and Gregg Gerke; 16 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sister, Donald (Dorothy) Mueller, Carol Kaiser, and Leo (Mary) Mueller; her sisters-in-law, Judy Schmitz and Shirley (John) Pickart. She is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, William & Estella Mueller; brother-in-law, Donald Kaiser; and sisters-in-law, Elaine (Elmer) Mertens and Johanna (Joe) Weber; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter & Lucille Mueller.
A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Our Lady of the Holyland Parish-St. Mary's Site in Marytown (N10232 County Road G, New Holstein, WI 53061) Rev. Paul Koenig, OFM Cap will officiate. Ruth will be laid to rest in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Charlesburg following the Mass.
Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Ruth's family at the church in Marytown on Friday, December 13th from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM.
Ruth's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the home caretakers for taking care of mom and dad these past years, the staff of Aurora at Home Hospice, and the staff at Abridge Care Cottage in Chilton for the wonderful care given to her and compassion shown to our family.
