Ruth Anna Tisler, age 66 of Reedsville, died on April 9th, 2015, at her home. Ruth was diagnosed with ALS and she bravely faced the debilitating effects of this disease. Ruth was born February 4, 1949 in Green Bay to Florence (Konken) Beyer and the late Walter Beyer. Ruth's faith was strong and she was confirmed in Christ in 1963 at Morrison Zion Lutheran church where she had been a member for most of her life. In 1967 she graduated from Wrightstown High School. On March 23, 1968 she married the love of her life Richard James Tisler. Over the years she has worked at Fort Howard, The Manor, Bilotti's Pizza Garden, Kabats Country Gardens, Pranges/Younkers, and Endries. Ruth retired to provide care giving for her grandchildren. Ruth had a green thumb and loved to tend to her garden, flower beds, and plants. She was skilled in sewing and sewed everything from clothes to curtains. She had a passion for food from canning to cooking, and she always had the best recipes. She was devoted to volunteering her time as a school librarian, making and serving soup suppers, serving on the Sheriff's Department ladies auxiliary and church committees. Daily she read her bible and meditations and her faith continued to be in the forefront of her life. Her family was her pride and joy. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Richard; her mother: Florence Beyer; their children: Dawn Tisler-Vaughn, Richard (special friend Carrie Kasper) Tisler, and Andrea (Carl) Mueller; grandchildren: Emily and Evan Vaughn; sisters and brothers: Mary Beyer, Alice (William) Lasee, Karen Jerovetz, Alvin (Marcia) Beyer, Linda Bodart, Ronald (Cindy) Beyer, Wayne ("Squirrel") Beyer, Judy Beyer, Jean (Richard) Borchardt, Jane (David) Hockers, John (Amy) Beyer, Edward Beyer, Amy (Jack) Van Iten; her in-laws: Dennis (Sandy) Vogels, Helen Belonger, Mary Ann and Denny Weller, Elroy and Judy Tisler; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her father: Walter, father-in-law and mother in law: Lester and Mary Tisler, sister: LiLene Vogels, brother: Herbert Beyer, brothers-in-law: Ken Tisler and Donald Belonger, niece: Jennifer Kollman, and nephew: Bryan Beyer. Friends may call at Zion Lutheran Church in Morrison on Friday evening., April 17, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday morning, April 18, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church in Morrison. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Randy Ott with burial to follow immediately in the church cemetery. Online condolences may be made. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated.
