Ruth A. Valleskey, age 76, of New Holstein, died Thursday, November 8, 2012, at the Appleton Medical Center from complications from heart surgery she had the previous week. She was born February 26, 1936, in the Town of Rantoul in Calumet County to the late Elmer & Geraldine (Brandes) Krueger. Ruth graduated from Chilton High School in 1954. On August 20, 1955, she married Valgene E. Valleskey at Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Rantoul. Valgene preceded her in death on February 12, 1997. Ruth worked at Tecumseh Engine Products until her retirement. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in New Holstein and a member of the Altar Guild at the church. Survivors include her son, Terry (Cheri) Valleskey of Sheboygan Falls; her daughter, Sherry (Scott) Schneider of New Holstein; four grandchildren, Sgt. Ryan Valleskey, Amy Valleskey, Colin Schneider and his special friend, Molly McHugh, and Jordan Schneider. She is further survived by her twin sister, Ruby (Robert) Klupper of Kiel, and her sister, Ann Behnke of Appleton; and nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; her step-mother, Hildegard Krueger; and her husband. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church, 1702 Van Buren Street in New Holstein. Rev. John Schenck will officiate with Vicor Azor Cigelske assisting. Entombment will take place at the Knollwood Mausoleum in rural Manitowoc. Family and friends may call at the church on Sunday, November 11th from 2:00 PM until the time of services. A Memorial Fund has been established for Zion Lutheran Church.
