Sara A. (North) Davis Kraus, age 78, of rural Mount Calvary, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Theda Care Hospital in Neenah from health complications after suffering a stroke on Sunday.

She was born March 19, 1948, in Madison to Earl & Arlyn (Semrich) North. Sara attended school in Sheboygan Falls and received her bachelor degree from U.W. Madison.

On September 28, 1984, she married Clarence Kraus on the Kraus homestead.

Sara had worked for the Sheboygan County Sheriff Department, the small animal clinic in Lomira, and did milk testing for DHIA.

Sara was a huge animal lover. She rode horses, for endurance racing having completed a thousand miles+. She also loved to drive tractor on their farm in the Town of Taycheedah.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence; nieces; nephews; two sisters-in-law, Bernice Sabel and Mary Kraus.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Nancy Rainy; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Henry & Cecelia Kraus; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Clarence & Stella Schaefer, James & Mildred Murphy, Ed & Esther Schumacher, Lawrence & Marie Kraus, Sylvester Kraus, Elmer & Marcelline Sabel, and Delbert Sabel.

Per Sara's wishes, there will be no visitation nor a funeral service.
