Obituary

Sharon A. Puskala, age 83, of Brillion, made her journey to Heaven on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Brillion West Haven with her daughter Kathy lovingly by her side.

Sharon was born on August 27, 1942 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Leo “Mose” and Lorena (Duby) LeClair. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, class of 1960. During her youth, Sharon was very involved in dance and enjoyed Tap, Jazz, and Ballet. In High School, she was a Majorette with the Lincoln High Marching Band. She also played violin in the orchestra. She was proud to tell everyone the violin she played had originally belonged to her beloved grandfather. Sharon worked at Ariens Company for most of her employment years, starting on the assembly line and working her way to the office. That is where she met Lonnie Puskala. On December 6, 1986, she married him at St. Mary Catholic Church in Brillion. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2024. When her time was done at Ariens, she wasn’t ready to retire yet, and she loved being around people, so she worked at Family Dollar and then Kwik Trip until retirement. Sharon enjoyed yearly family and friends’ trips to resorts and cabins up north. Once retired, she and Lonnie found their own “up north” place where many weekends were spent. Sharon also tended her house, yard, and garden constantly. She and Lonnie loved dogs and had many that they spoiled over the years once her children were grown; Lady, Nellie, and Mitzie just to name a few. Sharon enjoyed crocheting, gardening, canning, cooking, and baking. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Sharon is survived her children and spouses: Kathy (Eric) Gyorko of Indialantic, FL, Brian (Lori) Orth of Menchalville, and Craig (Andria) Orth of Brillion; grandchildren: Dara (Patrick) Connelly, Zane Gyorko, Rachel (Kyle) Karstadt, Courtney (Anthony) Bowers, Jared (Kelsie) Orth, Zachary Orth, Jocelyn (Anthony) Dobson, Hunter Orth, Logan Orth, and Macy Orth; great-grandchildren: Cypress Connelly, Audrey Bowers, Liam and Rory Orth, Kevyn, Duncan, Mavis, and Robinson Dobson; one sister and brother-in-law: Kelly (TJ) Schneider of Manitowoc; and other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie; son: Kevin Orth; infant son: Douglas John; her parents Leo “Mose” & Lorena; her Dad’s Second Wife: Marge; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Wilbert and Margaret (Flaschberger) Puskala, and other relatives.

Funeral Mass will take place at 12:00 p.m. (NOON) Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Matthew Colle and Deacon Greg Van Thiel. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
