Shirley A. (Mielke) (Wittmann) Majeskie, age 85, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 in Florida.
Shirley was born on February 16, 1939 in Outagamie County, Wisconsin, daughter of the late George and Marcella (Jackels) Mielke. She attended Sacred Heart Grade School in Sherwood and graduated from Kaukauna High School. She was employed with Kimberly Clark of Neenah, U.S. Oil Company of Combined Locks and Quad Graphics of Pewaukee and Sussex. On February 17, 1990, she married George J. Majeskie at St. Joseph Parish in Waukesha, WI. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2011. In her younger years, Shirley enjoyed waitressing for various establishments, hunting and was a Girl Scout Leader. Shirley also hosted students from around the world, including Japan, Belgium, Grenada and New Zealand. She enjoyed flower gardening, traveling the world with friends, thrifting, going to rummage sales, making dolls and teddy bears. Shirley volunteered much of her time while living in Florida and always made helping family and friends a priority.
Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law: Todd and Pam Wittmann, Menasha, Tony and Susan Wittmann, Hilbert; one daughter-in-law: Becky Wittmann, Waukesha; her grandchildren: Josh (Amber) Wittmann, Bradley Wittmann (special friend Stephanie), Sarah Weyland, Brooke (Brian) Wruck, Casey Wittmann (fiancée Lindsey) Taylor Wittmann, Nicole Wittmann, Zachary Wittmann and Andrew (Alissa) Wittmann; five great grandchildren: Isabelle, Emmory, Madelynn, Teagan and Brayden; her step-children: Michael Majeskie, North Prairie, Diana (Roman) Nowak, Muskego, Sharon Rodd-Majeskie, Naples, FL.; four step-grandchildren: Alex and Ami Majeskie, Joshua and Jonathon Nowak; her siblings: Ruth Ann Gorski, Mary Lou Nushart, Marge Hartman, Janice (Jim) Lamers, Pat (Al) Lisowe, Don Mielke. And many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: George; one son: Steve Wittmann; two step-children: Sandra Majeskie and Valerie Sullivan; two sisters: Georgie Spietz and Christina (Allen) Eldred; one infant brother: Anthony; three brothers-in-law: Clarence Gorski, Ken Nushart and Dave Hartman; father of her children: Delmar Wittmann. She was also preceded in death by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sherwood. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Mike Betley. Burial of her cremated remains will follow the service in the church cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Sherwood from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
