Shirley L. (Zupke) Rieder, age 76, of St. Cloud, passed away at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac with her daughter and grandson at her side on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. She was born May 9, 1944 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac to the late Millard & Mildred (Dunisch) Zupke. Shirley graduated from Campbellsport High School in 1962. On September 26, 1964, she married Eugene "Gene" Rieder at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fond du Lac; Gene preceded her in death on October 22, 2018. Shirley worked at the former Tecumseh Engine Products in New Holstein for 41 years. Survivors include her daughter, Kerry Rieder-McLaughlin and her husband, Ken McLaughlin of Montgomery, IL; two grandchildren, Devin & Cassandra McLaughlin; her brothers & sisters, Harvey Zupke of Malone, Bonnie (David) Engel of Mount Calvary, Darrell Zupke of Fond du Lac, Debbie (John) Gierach of Mount Calvary, Laurie Krueger of Fond du Lac, and Ronald Zupke and his life partner, Jeannie Bardsley, of Byron. Shirley is further survived by brothers-in-law & a sister-in-law; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends. Preceding Shirley in death were her parents, Millard & Mildred Zupke and her husband, Gene Rieder. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at the Sippel Funeral Home, 1311 Thorp Street, St. Cloud, WI 53079. Rev. Randy Knauf, OFM Cap will preside. Entombment will take place at the Shrine of Rest Chapel Mausoleum at Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery in Fond du Lac. Visitation: Family and friends may visit with Shirley's family at the Sippel Funeral Home in St. Cloud on Sunday, May 16th from 1:00 PM until 3:45 PM. Memorials in Shirley's name may be directed to the family for the American Cancer Society.
