Stan was born on March 3, 1930, son of the late Arthur and Florence “Flora” (Ahrens) Heimke. He was a graduate of Brillion High School, class of 1948. Stan served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War, earning two Bronze Stars, a Purple Heart and the Combat Infantry Badge. On August 8, 1953, he married the love of his life, Louise Landmann in Brillion. Both were born, raised and lifelong residents of Brillion. Louise preceded him in death on June 4, 2016. Stan started working at the Brillion Iron Works from 1947 until his retirement 45 years later in 1992. He also was a rural mail carrier for a number of years. Stan was a member of the American Legion Post 126 of Brillion and Faith United Methodist Church. He was active in our community serving on many church councils and helping people when he could. Stan enjoyed fishing with his sons, gardening with his wife, word scrambles, puzzles, playing dart ball, and was an avid Packer fan. He especially loved his wife, and they celebrated all of their anniversaries together; the past 62 here on earth, and the 63rd in heaven.
