Stephen L. Johnston

Stephen L. Johnston, age 66, of Hilbert, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018 of a heart attack; a husband, father, and grandfather whom we all love.

Steve was born in Merrill, WI on May 31, 1952, son of Lawrence “Larry” and the late Marian (Goedel) Johnston.  He was a graduate of Neenah High School, class of 1970.  He married Terry Ott on July 13, 1975 in Appleton.  Steve was a musician, artist, teacher, design engineer, and carpenter.  Our hearts are with him.

He is survived by his wife, Terry; their children: 3 sons and daughters-in-law: Andrew (Deran) Johnston, Simeon (Alicia) Johnston, and Gerrett (Andrea) Johnston; seven daughters and five sons-in-law: Ruth Kopecky, Elizabeth Johnston, JoEllen (Dave) Mitchell, Anna (Colin) Crow, Stephanie (Stephen) Bowers, Abigail (Ryan) Onley, Priscilla (Austin) Riemer; 24 Grandchildren; his father, Larry; his mother-in-law: Sally Ott; four brothers: Al (Karen), Dan (Patsy), Brian, Pat; four sisters: Shery (Steve), Carla (Gary), Kim, Anita (Wayne); 4 other brothers-in-laws and 10 sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Marian Johnston and his father-in-law: Joe Ott.Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Brillion Community Church, 821 Fairway Dr in Brillion, WI.  Officiating will be Rev. Sam Timm.  Burial will be in Brillion Community Church Cemetery, Brillion.

Friends may call at the church on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
