Stephen (Steve) Guy Schiessl, was born Jan. 22, 1952, in Berlin, Wisconsin, to parents Raymond Severign Schiessl and Olive Schiessl (Radliff). Steve attended the Berlin Public School system and was a member of the 1970 graduating class at Berlin High School in Berlin, Wisconsin. While in school he found a love for sports including baseball and football. Taking that love for sports with him into adulthood where he enjoyed and excelled in sports including baseball and racquetball. He then became, what many may remember him as, a swim coach in the early to mid 80's and continued, as a swim coach and confidante to many children – who have now become adults with children of their own, through July of 2017. He was preceded in death by brothers Fred Schiessl and Richard Schiessl; by sisters Kathleen Keller (Schiessl) and Mary Brennan (Schiessl); as well as mother Olive Schiessl (Radliff) and father Raymond Schiessl. He leaves to cherish his memories his five children, Jarrod Schiessl, Jacob Schiessl, Jessica Schiessl, Jaclyn Schiessl and Jason Schiessl; his grandsons, Kallum Schiessl, Archer Pollard and Finnley Schiessl; his brothers, Ronald Schiessl, Thomas Schiessl (Ellouise Schiessl), John Schiessl (Janet Schiessl), Jerry Schiessl and Peter Schiessl (Deborah Schiessl); his sister Juanita Kasuboski (Dennis Kasuboski); his brothers-in-law, Gilbert Keller, Michael (Mick) Brennan; his sister-in-law April Curran; and host of nieces and nephews and cherished friends from high school and beyond. Steve wished to have a gathering in place of a formal ceremony and much appreciation and endless gratitude is offered to his niece Linda Adams and nephew Tony Adams , as well as to his sister-in-law April Curran and nephew Ray Schiessl for their generosity and support through his final days.
