Steven R. Wickesberg

Steven R. Wickesberg, age 75, a Grimms resident, passed away peacefully following a short battle with Pancreatic cancer on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at his residence. He was born on May 2, 1948 in Appleton and raised in Black Creek, son of the late Carlton & Frances (Tuschl) Wickesberg. Steven was a graduate of Seymour High School, Class of 1966. He then graduated from University of Stout in 1971 with a degree in Engineering. Steven served our country in the United State Air Force and upon his honorable discharge, he entered the Army Reserves for a number of years. He was an engineer by trade and retired from Voith after many years of employment. He also remodeled, opened, and operated Shaving Street Bar & Grill in Grimms for 40 years. Steven enjoyed trapshooting and was a member of the Reedsville Sportsman Club. He was also a member of the Manitowoc YMCA where he enjoyed working out and made a lot of friends there. Survivors include his siblings: Dennis (Sally) Wickesberg, Seymour, Donna Decker, Marion, Sandra (Walter) Hess, Black Creek, Susan Strebe, Sobieski, Byron (Amy) Wickesberg, Mountain, Maxine (Tom) Metzner, Green Bay, Roger Wickesberg, Black Creek and Joan (Dennis) Barth, Seymour. Also surviving are special friends: Shep & Julie along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister: Joyce Wickesberg and a brother-in-law: Louis Decker. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, August 7, 2023 at The Pielhop Wieting Funeral Home, 15 N. 7th Street, Reedsville. Officiating at the Memorial Service will be Deacon Greg Van Thiel.  The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 7, 2023 until 6:15 p.m. Immediately following the service, Military Honors will be accorded by AmVets Post #1032 of Reedsville.
