Sylvester "Syl" E. Weber, age 88, of New Holstein died Thursday, March 29, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon.
He was born September 13, 1923 in Marytown to the late Math & Anna (Hansen) Weber. Sylvester attended St. Mary's Grade School in Marytown. On November 4, 1946, he married Juliana Heimann at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Charlestown. They celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary in November 2011.
Syl had worked at the former Arps Corp in New Holstein which later became Ameriquip. In addition he worked in his leather shop in his home.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein.
Survivors include his wife, Juliana, of New Holstein; his five children, Susan (David) Heimerman of Texas, Sylvester "Sonny" Weber and his fiancé, Donna Stroud of New Holstein, Sandy (Don) Breth of Malone, Steve Weber of New Holstein, and Stan (K.C.) Weber of New Holstein; 12 grandchildren, Linda (Jeff) Evraets, Jeff (Jenny), Kevin, Laura, & David Heimerman, Adam & Allen Weber, Ryan, Sara, & Shawn Sippel, and Morgan & Jesse Weber; four great-grandchildren, Leah, Asher, & Arek Evraets and Sarah Heimerman; and a sister, Kathleen "Katie" (Joe) Guelig of St. Cloud.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Math & Anna Weber; a brother, Norman Weber; and a sister, Lorena Diefenthaler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00 PM on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 1724 Madison Street New Holstein. Rev. Harold Berryman and Joe Zenk, Parish Director, will officiate. Private burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the church on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 PM until the time of services
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in his name.
