Sylvia Mary Hoyer

Sylvia Mary Hoyer, age 95, of Brillion, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. Sylvia was born on September 13, 1917 in Mishicot, daughter of the late Wenzel and Caroline (Ledivy) Urban. On December 16, 1936, she married John L. Hoyer. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1987. Sylvia helped her husband on their farm. She also went fishing, enjoyed traveling, spending time in the north woods, loved to garden and care for house plants, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by five sons and two daughters-in-law: Bill (Germaine) of Brillion, John, Peter, and Joe (Judy) all of Reedsville, and Jim of Brillion; nine daughters and six sons-in-law: Caroline (Jim) Payette, Mary Juchniewich all of Two Rivers, Joanne Hoyer of Brillion, Nancy (Roger) Sonnabend of De Pere, Karen (Vern) Bonlander of New Holstein, Darlene (Rick) Klahorst of Pewaukee, Judy (Jim) Matznick of Reedsville, Susan (Rick) Walesh of Valders, and Jeanne Hoyer of Brillion; 27 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Martha Kudick, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, one son-in-law: Jim Juchniewich; grandson: Brad Juchniewich; two brothers: Arnold and Clarence; three sisters: Julia, Lucy (Marvin), and Violet, another brother-in-law: Ornie Kudick, and other in-laws. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Wieting Funeral Home, 15 7th Street, in Reedsville. Burial will follow at Kasson Evergreen. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., and again on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be made at www.wieting-funeralhome.com The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heartland Hospice, especially Christine and Debbie, for all of their care and compassion shown toward Mom.
