Teresa H. Steffen, age 70, of rural St. Cloud "St. Joe" died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at the Villa Loretto Nursing Home in Mt. Calvary. She was born June 9, 1941 in Fond du Lac to the late Herman J. & Ludvina (Freund) Buechel. Teresa married Jack Steffen on November 16, 1963 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in St. Peter. She retired from Ameriquip June of 2005. Teresa was a member of St. Isidore Parish, St. Joseph Church in St. Joe. She was also a member of St. Joseph's Christian Women's Society. She is survived by her husband Jack Steffen; her four children, Randall (Betty) Steffen of St. Cloud, Gary Steffen of Arlington, VA, Chris (Kevin) Fuhrmann of St. Cloud "St. Joe", Kay (David) Diederich of St. Cloud; her six grandchildren, Ryan & Travis Steffen, Jacquelyn & Greg Fuhrmann, Mitchell & Madeline Diederich, and two great-grandchildren Connor & Koleton; her three sisters Joan (Donald) Steffes of St. Cloud "St. Joe", Diana (Donald) Abler of Glenbeulah, Joyce Buechel (Ron) Ver Haagh of Fond du Lac; two brothers, Herman Jr. (Janet) Buechel of Fond du Lac and Allen (Betty) Buechel of St. Peter; Brother-in-law Lester (Peggy) Stephanie; step brother, David (Karen) Tetzke of Menasha. Preceding her in death were her parents; step-mother, Lucille (Tetzke) Buechel, 2 sisters; Marilyn (Roger) Schneider and Betty Lou Stephanie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at St. Isidore Parish , St. Joseph Church W620 County road G, St. Cloud. Rev. Steven Kropp OFM CAP and Rev. Oliver Bambenek OFM CAP concelebrating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home 1311 Thorp Street in St. Cloud on Friday September 30, 2011 from 4:00-8:00pm and at the Funeral Home Saturday morning from 9:00-10:30 am when brief family rites will be held. A prayer service will be held at the Funeral Home Friday evening at 8:00 pm. A Memorial fund will be established in Teresa's name.
