Terrie L. Zirbel, age 31, of Brillion, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton, surrounded by her family. Terrie was born in Neenah on May 24, 1983, daughter of Ken & Sherrie (Boesch) Schaefer. She was a graduate of Chilton High School, class of 2001. Terrie went on to further her education at Fox Valley Technical College. On March 25, 2006, she married Michael R. Zirbel at Zion Lutheran Church in Wayside. Terrie was a financial eligibility specialist for Community Care in Chilton. She previously was employed for St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Riesterer and Schnell of Chilton and the Howards Grove State Bank. Terrie and Mike enjoyed spending time together shaking dice, playing cribbage, sturgeon spearing, fishing, attending Brewers games, grilling out, and gatherings with family and friends. She loved her family and being together. Terrie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Wayside. Terrie, Mike and daughter Alexis Zirbel welcomed another daughter, baby girl Olivia Hope this past August making them a family of four. Terrie is further survived by her parents: Ken & Sherrie Schaefer of Stockbridge; her siblings: Tara (Nick) Bennin of Sherwood and Mat (Cassie) Schaefer of Chilton; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Stan and Andrea (Knitter) Zirbel of Wayside; one brother-in-law: Jesse (fiance' Ciara Butow) Zirbel of Green Bay; godchild and only nephew: Hunter Bennin; nieces: Autumn Bennin and Paige, Piper, and godchild: Paisly Schaefer; maternal grandparents: Carl and Donna (Huebner) Boesch of Chilton; uncles and aunts: Glen Schaefer of Kiel, Gary (Loann) Boesch of Hilbert, Sandra Schnuell of Chilton, Randy (Kathy) Boesch of Hilbert, godmother: Candy (Matthew) Gehl of Hilbert, Terry (Sarah) Boesch of Chilton, godmother: Barb (Paul) Price of Chilton, Ken Boesch of Hilbert and Karen (Brad) Hernke of Hilbert; godfather: Robert Schaefer; maternal grandparents-in-law: Lester Knitter of Two Rivers and Shirley (nee-Gilmer) Link of Manitowoc; very close friend, LeeAnn Cenefelt; other cousins, in-laws, and many friends. Terrie was also very fond of her furry companion Maggie her miniature schnauzer. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Clem & Bernadette (Halbach) Schaefer, one aunt: Gay Lynn Boesch, one uncle: Roy Schnuell; and paternal grandparents-in-law: Robert & Eugenia (Borchardt) Zirbel, Sr. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church, 8378 County Road W in Wayside. Officiating will be the Rev. Steve Kline. Burial will be in Brillion Community Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday evening, January 13, 2015 at the Wieting Funeral Home, 215 S. Main St. in Brillion, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Online condolences may be made. Terrie's earthly fight is over, and she has won. She has made it home to heaven and is now cancer free.
