Obituary

Valine Mae Lefeber, age 87, of St. Cloud, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, January 2, 2017. The former Mae Braun was born June 10, 1929 in the Town of Marshfield in St. Joe. She was the daughter of the late Arnold & Evelyn (Wirth) Braun. Mae attended St. Joseph's grade school and graduated from New Holstein High School in 1947, where she was a cheerleader. On May 20, 1950, she married Joseph Lefeber at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joe. Mae was a bookkeeper at Lefeber & Eiring Inc. in St. Cloud. After retiring, she worked at Edith's in Fond du Lac. She was a member of St. Isidore Parish-St. Cloud Church, where she sang with the church choir. Mae also belonged to the Christian Women's Society, St. Cloud Homemakers, and the Red Hat Club in Florida. Mae enjoyed sewing. She loved putting together the Cherry Tree for the St. Cloud Fall Festival. Mae is survived by her husband, Joe; 6 children, Sandy (Dave) Fuhrmann of La Valle, WI, Dianne (Jean) Urruty, Buffalo, WY, Chuck (Jane) Lefeber of rural Mount Calvary, WI, Marcie (Bob) Jacobs of Pewaukee, WI, Ron (Kathy) Lefeber of rural Chilton "Marytown", WI, and Scott (Dori) Lefeber of Combined Locks; 15 grandchildren, Ryan (Nikie), Craig (Mirandy), Cory (Katie), Eric (Lauren) Fuhrmann; Tony (Jessie), Seth (Natalie) Urruty; Geoff (Jenny) Lefeber; Andrea (Chad) Mueller, Allison (Tony) Birschbach; Shaina Aguilera Jacobs, Derek Jacobs; Chris and Cade Lefeber, Caleb and Gavin Lefeber; 20 great-grandchildren; Ben, Will, Gabe, Lucas, Grant, Brooke, Audrey, Sam, Jacqueline, Cora Mae, Avery, Claire, Isaac, Isabelle, Eli, Marcela, Elena, Brynn, Camden, and Thomas. She is further survived by a brother, Ken (Mary) Braun of St. Joe, 5 sister-in-laws, Janice Braun of St. Joe, Leora Salchert of St. Cloud, Marion Feldner of Oshkosh, Lucy Lefeber of St. Cloud, Rosemary Dreifuerst of St. Cloud; 3 brothers-in-law, Beno (Florence) Wagner of Fond du lac, Jim Lefeber of St. Cloud and Harold "Flip" Lefeber of St. Cloud. She is preceded by her parents, Arnold & Evelyn Braun; a brother, Allan Braun; 2 sisters, Bernice Wagner and Janet Weber; her Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Christ & Alvina Lefeber. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 6, 2017 at St. Isidore Parish-St. Cloud Church 924 Main Street St. Cloud, WI 53079. Rev. Larry Abler, OFM Cap. presiding with Rev. Gary Wegner, OFM Cap concelebrating. Burial will be in the St. Cloud Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home, 1311 Thorp Street St. Cloud, WI 53079 on Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 4:00-8:00 pm and again on Friday morning 9:00-10:00 am when brief rites will be held. A Prayer Service will be held at the funeral home Thursday evening at 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in her name.
