Verlene E. Haese

Verlene E. Haese, age 85, of Brillion, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

Verlene was born on July 30, 1939 in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Ervin & Elva (Rades) Petersen.  She was a graduate of Kiel High School, class of 1956.  On June 25, 1960, she married Lenroy R. Haese at St. Peter United Church of Christ in Kiel.  He preceded her in death on October 12, 2020.  Verlene worked a few places in her lifetime, most notably at the Brillion Iron Works as the Canteen Lady and at the Subway in Brillion.  Verlene enjoyed reading, crafting, and going to the races, camping at their permanent site in Reedsville, and Winters in Florida with Lenroy.  Verlene was very religious, only missing a service if she didn’t feel well.  Above all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Kevin (Cindy) Haese, Dawn (Bill) Voight, Amy (Jay) Krahn, and the late Dale (Sara) Haese; grandchildren: Donald (Maureen) Haese, Meghan (Robert) Withrow, Kaityln (Mike) Krepline, Erin Haese, Patrick Haese, Mitchell (Morgan) Krahn, Amanda (Zachary) Zoellner, Rebekah Krahn; step-grandchildren: Michael and Jennie Spears, Steven and Samantha Spears, Emily, Nathan, and Rachel Thiry; great-grandchildren: Carson, Henry, Raelynn, Anthony, Aurora, Donald Jr., Taron, Declynn, Shae, and Ava; step-great-grandchildren: Wesson, Mason, Jack, Luke, Mikaela, Georgia, and Bennett; sister-in-law: Darlene Haese; brother-in-law: Delwood Haese; other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lenroy; one son: Dale; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Roland & Hilda (Krepline) Haese; and two brothers-in-law: Glenver and Eljien Haese.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. (NOON) on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Peace United Church of Christ in Brillion.  Officiating will be Rev. Wendy Witt.  Burial will be in Brillion Community Cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
