Vernon L. Gleason Jr., age 45, of New Holstein passed away peacefully with his wife at his side on Friday, November 29, 2013, at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls. He was born July 10, 1968, in Beloit, WI to Vernon L. Sr. and Dorothy (Haskins) Gleason. Vernon graduated from Clinton High School in 1986. He entered the US Marine Corps on May 16, 1990. On October 21, 2010, he married Jerusha Baker. Vernon had owned the Gleason Central Haus. He also worked at Perkins, and Apple Bee's. He is survived by his wife, Jerusha; seven children, Dawn Gleason, Travis Gleason, Christopher Sutton, Joshua Gleason, Dorian Sutton, Megan Gleason, and Olivia Blake; three brothers, Thomas (Diana) Gleason, Robert Gleason, and James (Penni) Gleason; two sisters, Pamela Miller and Vicki (Kevin) Thornton; his father-in-law, Douglas (Deb) Baker; his mother-in-law, Carol (Steven) Boots; a sister-in-law, Jennifer (Justin) Wood; and two brothers-in-law, Gregory Baker and Ian (Courtney) Baker. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Vernon L. Sr. and Dorothy Gleason; and a niece, Stephanie. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Avenue New Holstein, WI 53061. Military Rites will be conducted at the funeral home following the services. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday morning from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
