Vicki Krupp, age 68, of New Holstein, died Thursday, January 17, 2013.
She was born December 10, 1944 to the late Victor & Evelyn (Jochimsen) Sell.
Vicki attended Holy Rosary School and graduated in 1963 from New Holstein High School. She received her Associate's Degree in Nursing from Moraine Park.
On May 20, 1967, she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Jerome Krupp, with whom she raised five children.
Vicki worked as a nurse for six years at the Calumet Memorial Hospital where she made life-long friends. She then spent the past 33 years providing nursing services at the Calumet Homestead & Homestead Care Center.
Vicki volunteered as the chairperson of the Calumet County Auxiliary Scholarship Committee.
She was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein.
Vicki was an amazingly loving, generous, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, nurse, and friend. She was the ringleader and rock of the family. Her passion was taking care of others; she took care of everyone around her with grace, respect, and tremendous love. She enjoyed spending time with family, reading novels, knitting, crocheting, playing solitaire, helping those in need, and working as a nurse. She was devoted to the residents at the Homestead and was a cherished nurse because of her exceptional level of care. She was also an animal lover who enjoyed raising dogs.
Survivors include her husband, Jerome (Romy) Krupp; her five children, Chris (Rosario Daza) Krupp of Seattle, WA, Scott (Amanda) Krupp of Waunakee, Angela (Steve) Schasker of Sun Prairie, Matt (Anna) Krupp of Sun Prairie, and Steve Krupp of New Holstein; eight grandchildren, Molly, Will, Max, Gus, Ella, Beckett, Henry, and Mateo; her grand dogs, Steve's dogs, Lulu & Dozer; her brother, Chuck Sell of Muscoda; her sister, Dede (John) Ketter of Grafton; and many other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Victor & Evelyn Sell; her sister, Linda Faiella; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, Joseph & Caroline Krupp; and her brother-in-law, Daniel Krupp.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:30 PM on Monday, January 21, 2013, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street in New Holstein. Rev. Loren Nys SDS will officiate with Parish Director, Joe Zenk, assisting. Private family burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue in New Holstein on Monday from 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM when brief rites will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the funeral home for the Vicki Krupp Memorial Scholarship for nursing.
