Victor G. Haese, age 93 of Manitowoc, formerly of Reedsville, died on Sunday September 11, 2011 at St. Mary Home in Manitowoc. He was born on December 9, 1917 in the Town of Rockland, son of the late John & Martha (Klann) Haese. He married Bulah M. Laughter on July 2, 1945 in Memphis TN. Victor served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Red Arrow Division from 1941-1945. He received the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster for being wounded in action in New Guinea. He also received the Bronze Star and many other medals. After his tour of duty, he farmed in the Town of Rockland until his retirement. He was an avid Badger fan and liked to garden and do woodworking. Victor was a member of St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville and the American Legion Post #88 in Manitowoc. Survivors include his children, Becky (John) Holly of Manitowoc and their children, Christopher, Nicole, Nathan, Jacob, and Patrick all of Manitowoc, Bernadine (Larry) Brickner of Sturgeon Bay and their family, Peter (Angela) Brickner of Sturgeon Bay, and Jessi of IL, Bernice (Leigh) Kraftcheck of IL and their family, Charity DePremio of GA and Danielle Haese of PA, Glenn (Mary) Haese of Manitowoc and their daughter Kendy Haese of Manitowoc, Betty (Jim) Pritzl of Cato and their family Brenda Einertson of Branch, John Kiehn of Manitowoc, Adam (Whitney) Kiehn of LA, Thomas Haese of Oshkosh and his family Kristine (Wade) Preston of Whitelaw, Tracy (Joe) Stover of Reedsville, Tammy (Joe) Rosman of Menominee Falls, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, 6 step great grandchildren, 7 step great great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Victor was preceded in death by his wife Bulah on August 24, 2003, 2 grandchildren, Kristopher and Mavis Haese, a sister Adeline Berge, and 2 brothers Elmer and Quintin Haese. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday September 14 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville. The Rev. Timothy Nommensen will officiate. Entombment will be in Knollwood Mausoleum were military rites will be held. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
