Victoria "Vickie" A. Anderson, age 84, was living in her home at Elkhart Lake when she fell and was taken to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah, WI. She passed away October 12, 2014.
The former Victoria Kuhn was born August 7, 1930 in Salida, CO to the late Stanislaus and Francesca (Agres) Kuhn, the youngest of seven girls.
She graduated from Salida High School in 1948. She won a four year scholarship to Western State College of Colorado with the intention of becoming an English teacher.
On January 6, 1951, she married Richard F. Anderson, of Milwaukee, in Englewood, CO.
She is a former President of the Kiel Historical Society. Vickie was instrumental in organizing and maintaining "The Annual Sauerkraut Festival." The event was celebrated on September 7, 2014. There were 20 guests in attendance for the 19th event. Vickie also enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, and her beloved poodle dog Andy.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; her two children, Curtis (Lorie) Anderson of Ashland, OR and Valerie Blanck of Kiel, WI; her grandchildren, Stacy (Brian) Meyer, Scott (Nichole) Blanck, Steve (Ana) Blanck, Tara Anderson, and Evan Anderson; great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Jordyn Meyer, Cheizel and Francesca Blanck, Brantley Blanck, and another on the way; one sister, Bernardine Hanson of Englewood, CO.
Preceding her in death were her parents; five sisters; her in-laws, Harry and Mary Anderson; and one brother, James P. Anderson.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Ave. New Holstein, WI 53061 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
