Viorene J. Lemke, age 76 of Chilton, died on Tuesday January 19, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 13, 1939 in the Town of Rockland, daughter of the late Raymond and Viola (Schaefer) Behnke. Vi was baptized and confirmed at St. John St. James Lutheran Church in Reedsville and was a graduate of Reedsville High School class of 1958. She married Charles Lemke on December 6, 1975 at St. John St. James in Reedsville. She worked at Hamilton in Two Rivers and then at the Ariens Company in Brillion for 35 years. Vi was a very caring and giving person who loved to bake and do things for others. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Rantoul. Survivors include her husband Charles, a sister, Carol (Gerald) Arenz of Chilton, a brother Glen (Geraldine) Behnke of Brillion, nieces and nephews, Tammy (Michael) Pethan, Terry (Carrie) Arenz, Shirley (Daniel) Dallmann, DuWayne (Renee) Behnke, Dean (Rose) Behnke, 13 great nieces and nephews and 1 great great niece. Vi was preceded in death by her parents, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Elona Lemke. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday January 24, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church Rantoul. The Rev. Patrick Niles will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 1:00 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. with the funeral to follow at 3:00 P.M.
