Virginia M. Gasch, age 84, formerly of New Holstein died Saturday, November 12, 2011 in Silverdale, Washington after suffering a massive stroke. The former Virginia Breit was born May 3, 1927 in St. John, Wisconsin to the late Peter & Pauline (Gruber) Breit. She attended grade school in Chilton. On May 26, 1948, she married Darrel Gasch in Woodville, WI. Darrel preceded her in death on August 4, 1997. In addition to raising her children, she had worked at Kestell Furniture in New Holstein. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. Survivors include her two daughters, Karen Selk (Terry Nelson) of Salt Spring Island, British Columbia and Phyllis Pendleton (Michael Pendleton) of Kingston, WA; a granddaughter, Miquela A. (Pendleton) Pierce and a brother, Leroy Breit (Georgiana Breit) of Kiel, WI. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Darrel; and two brothers, Harold & Roland Breit. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Avenue in New Holstein. Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:30AM -10:00 AM until the time of services which is scheduled to start at 10:30 followed by lunch.
