Wayne J. Roers, age 72, of Malone "Calumetville", passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully at his home on Wednesday, January 18, 2017.
He was born February 29, 1944, in Alexandria, MN to the late Alois & Walburga (Stoetzel) Roers.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Cooper Roers; his son, Randy (Jenny) Roers; his daughter, Cheryl Roers Ott (Brian Ott); three step sons, Matthew Cooper (Becka), Thomas Cooper (Marna), and Joseph Cooper (Diana); his ex-wife, Bonnie Roers; ten grandchildren, Elise and Steven Ott, Madison and Alex Roers, Elizabeth and Nathan Knoblett, Christian Cooper, Ellavy, Clara, and Quinntin Cooper. Wayne was well loved and appreciated by all. He would help anyone in need and was always "fixing" something for family or a friend.
With his wife, he loved traveling, country music, and adventures. He was an engineer and plant manager in various manufacturing plants; including Kieffer, ARPS, Hayssen, Gilson, Simplicity, Mercury Marine, Heiden Inc. and others.
He loved the ranch in Missouri where he could enjoy the farm life of his roots. The big smile would be on his face when driving one of the tractors. He also loved seeing deer in the meadow, the turkey's flying up startled, and the time spent hunting and fishing with family.
If he could, his message to each and every one-"I loved you all".
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at St. Mary Catholic Church in "Marytown" (N10232 County Road G New Holstein, WI 53061).
