Wayne Dexter Woodcock, age 76, of Chilton (Collins) died on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Aurora Baycare Medical Center in Green Bay. He was born on Feb. 24, 1935, in the Town of Rockland, son of the late Dexter & Edna (Hackbarth) Woodcock. He was a graduate of Valders High School class of 1952. Wayne married Gertrude Meier on June 22, 1969. He farmed in the Town of Eaton and hauled milk for the Collins Cheese Factory for many years. He also worked at Riesterer & Schnell until his retirement in 2002. His true passions in life were the Brewers, Packers, and his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Gertrude, a son David (Lori) Woodcock, a step son Jeffrey (Wendy) Meier, step daughters Robin Wadizinski and Lori (Zimbalist) Green, 9 grandchildren, Dexter Woodcock, Joshua Behnke, Erin (Jeff) LaFond, Shannon Wadizinski, Vanessa Meier, Derrick Green, Deonna Green, Grace Meier, and Jennifer Meier, sisters-in-law Myrtle Woodcock and Ruth Bornemann, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jay, and brother-in-law Reiny Bornemann. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday May 16th at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Collins. The Rev. Robert Hankwitz will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and then again on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MLHS or St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, Collins. The Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville is assisting the family with arrangements.
