Wilbert Willie Stecker Sr. age 87, of Hilbert, died on Mon. April 12, 2010 at his home, following a short illness. He was born March 18, 1923 in the Town of Woodville, son of the late Herman Sr. and Norma (Beil) Stecker. Willie married Mae Bunge on Aug. 16, 1947 in Hilbert. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. After his return from service, Willie farmed his entire life. He also owned and operated Willies Repair Service in Hilbert for many years. He was a member of Peace Evangelical & Reformed Church in Potter. Survivors include his wife Mae, 4 sons, Keith (Janet), Marc (Mary), Wilbert Jr. (Lynn) Dana (Stacy), 7 daughters, Dianna (Jared) Huber, Nelda (Gary) Mueller, Marcia (Steve) Allen. Peggy (Howard) Martin, Connie (Dennis) Gutsmiedl, Vanessa (Jeff) Wagner, Trisha (Daryl) Ticknor, 35 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, a brother Herman Jr. (Audrey), 3 sisters, Lorna (Ambrose) Lisowe, Marianne (Clarence) Buechel, Marilyn (Allen) Stache, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Roy, a brother Herbert, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Louis and Viola Bunge. Funeral service will be held on Thur. April 15th at 1:00 p.m. at Peace Evangelical & Reformed Church in Potter. The Rev. Marc Axelrod will officiate. Burial will be in the Brillion Community Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thur. from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. The Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion is assisting the family with arrangements.
