Willard George Krueger age 82 of Brillion, WI passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Calumet Medical Center due to kidney complications. He was born December 19, 1932 the son of Sam and Norma (Schwartz) Krueger. Willard attended a rural one room school and was a graduate of the 1950 class at Brillion High School. He served his county in the U.S. Army from 1956-58 in Korea. After service he bought the Krueger Century Homestead farm and farmed until retiring in 2008. Willard earned "Farmer of the Year" for Calumet County in 1997. He also earned "Farm Bureau Man of the Year" for Calumet County in 1998. Willard loved to go to auctions and buy antiques and antique tractors. He was a 10 gallon blood donor and a sing-a-long volunteer at the Calumet Care Center where he was named "Volunteer of the Year" in 2002. He enjoyed traveling to Alaska and 8 European countries. Willard was a member of the Brillion Historical Society, Farm Bureau, WI Steam Antique Engine Club, Zion United Methodist Church, and the former Rural Brillion Methodist Church where he served as chairman for 15 years. Willard is survived by his sister Ruby Patt (Leo) of Oshkosh, WI, nieces Mary Jo Terry (Paul) of Austin, TX and Stephanie Reed (Gary) of Oklahoma City, OK, nephews Steven Strickland (Jeanette) of Oklahoma City, OK and Thomas Patt (Jean) of Oshkosh, WI. He is further supported by his great niece Carolyn Patt and great nephews Matthew and Chase Terry and Michael Patt. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Chilton Care Center, especially Vicki, Ashley, and Dr. Tipler. Funeral services will be held @ 11:30am on Monday, April 13th at Zion United Methodist Church in Forrest Junction, WI. Visitation will be from 9-11:30am prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship memorial fund in Willard's name has been established at Brillion High School for students pursuing an agricultural career degree or certificate.
