William "Bill" H. Fritz, age 86, of New Holstein, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at his home. He was born August 2, 1929 in Rushford, MN to William Sr. & Esther (Burfeind) Fritz. Bill served in the Army during the Korean War from 1951 – 1953. On April 5, 1952, he married Betty Schrandt in Winona, MN. He was employed with Pioneer Container, starting in 1960 at their Cedarburg location and moving to New Holstein in 1962. He retired as the New Holstein location plant manager in 1993. Bill enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in New Holstein. He was a former member of the New Holstein Lions Club. Survivors include his wife, Betty; four children, Cynthia (David) Dineen of Kiel and their children, Dr. Ashley Dineen & John Dineen, William "Bill" Fritz of Lake Mills, Wayne (Sandy) Fritz of New Holstein and Michelle Fritz (Fiancée, David Kraus) of Kiel; his brother, George (Betty) Fritz; his sister, Margaret Lueders; his in-laws, Robert "Sam" (Gert) Schrandt, Earl (Joyce) Schrandt, Jean Strain and Ruth Dennis. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, William Sr. & Esther Fritz and two brothers, Harold & Willard Fritz.
