William "Bill" Jandrey

March 21, 1939 — December 13, 2018

William “Bill” Charles Jandrey age 79, of Reedsville passed away on December 13th, 2018 at Holy Family Memorial Hospital. William was born on March 21st, 1939, son of the late Charles and Minnie (Wunrow) Jandrey.

He attended grade school at the Quarry School House, and St. Johns St. James, later graduating from Reedsville High School in 1958. Bill served his country in the United States Army from 1958-1960. After the service he worked at Tecumseh before joining his dad back on the family homestead. On August 21st 1965, he married Cheryle Zutz, at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Collins. Together, they resided and worked side by side until he retired in 1998, after which, he raised steers and his beloved horse Misty. Over the years he was very thankful for his family, the nephews that replaced the sons he never had, and the time enjoyed by all the nieces and nephews that stayed at the farm.

He was an avid sports fan, grew up playing football, basketball and baseball. Bill loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports, and was a huge Packer and Brewer fan. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends, card club and trips to the casino for the $5.00 chicken dinners. He also spent many hours on the porch watching his favorite purple martins fly into their houses.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cheryle Jandrey’s Reedsville; two daughters and son- in laws and five grandchildren: Judy and Guy Valleskey of Valders, and their children, Megan and Ryan; Joan and Bill Griffin of Manitowoc and children, Hunter, Trevor (Special friend Conner Grall) and Kylee. He is further survived by one brother and sister-in law one sister; Donnie (Muriel) Jandrey, and Lorraine Dickert. Sisters-in Law; Shirley Jandrey, Sophie Jandrey, Lynette and Ronnie Grimm, Joyce and Wayne Draheim, Janice and Tom Behnke. Brothers in laws; Jeffrey (Vermae) Zutz, Daryle (Nancy) Zutz, Lawrence (Rosemary) Zutz, Leslie (Joan) Zutz, Junior (Bonnie) Zutz, Stanley Zutz and 47 nieces and nephews.  Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his Father- in law Ralph Sr. and Mother- in law Elda Habermann Zutz, 4 brothers; Glenroy, Charles, Lawrence and Eugene Jandrey, and one sister; Doris Jandrey. 4 Sisters- in law; Audrey, Janice and Lucy Jandrey, and Linda Krepline; 3 Brothers- in law; Willard Dickert, Jerry Krepline and Ernie Theel, and nephews Daniel Jandrey, Timothy Theel and Terry Grimm.

Funeral Service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at St. Peters Lutheran Church of Collins.  Officiating will be the Rev. Robert Weiss.  Military Rites will be accorded by the AmVets Post 1032 of Reedsville.  Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday afternoon at church from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
