William "Bill" Joseph Schuster, age 83, of Greenleaf, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, surrounded by his family. Bill was born on September 8, 1929 in Milwaukee, son of the late Adolf and Ruth (Johnson) Schuster. He was a graduate of Pio Nono Academy in Milwaukee, Class of 1948. He went on to study at Marquette University in Milwaukee. Bill served our county in the United States Army during the Korean War. In August of 1953, he married Audrey Scharabok. She preceded him in death on January 12, 1981. Bill later married Mercedes (Yost) Schuster on January 3, 1982 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Green Bay. He owned and operated Edgerton Contractors in Milwaukee before moving to Greenleaf. In 1969, he founded Greenleaf Landscaping, and, even though he sold the business in 1984, he never really retired. Bill also had a hobby farm for many years. He was a member of the Wrightstown School Board, the Wisconsin Landscaping and Contractors Association, the Wisconsin Grading and Excavating, and St. Roman's Parish and Holy Name Society in Milwaukee. He was a member of St. Clare Parish, (St. Patrick's site), was a 4-H Leader, and taught CCD at church. He was in a couples bowling league with Merce, enjoyed woodworking, model trains, and going up north to Crivitz. Bill especially enjoyed organizing family gatherings and having everyone together. His family includes his wife, Merce of Greenleaf; their children: Ken (Dorene) Schuster of Greenleaf, Jean (Bob) O'Donnell of Green Bay, late daughter Lynn and son-in-law, Jim Komisarek of Green Bay, Arlene (the late Don) Klika of Greenleaf, Tina Schuster of Green Bay, Gregg (Pamela) Schuster of Greenleaf, Rita (Scott) Bills of Richfield, Ann (Strauder) Nelson of Green Bay, Warren (Mary) Schuster of Greenleaf, and Mary (Jim) Reynders of Greenleaf; grandchildren: Genine (Bryan) Nowak, Monica (Eric) Hanson, and Bill Schuster; Erin O'Donnell; Maggie (Gabe) Morrison, Beth Komisarek and Andy Komisarek; Brian (Nicole) and Kyle (Natalie) Klika; Patrick, Kate and Ross Farley; Maria Schuster, daughter of Gregg and Pam; Anna, Allyson and Charlie Bills; Maddison, Joshua and Jordan Nelson; Brooke and Zoel Schuster; Joshua, Justin, Casey and Carly Reynders; great-grandchildren: Riley and Bennett Klika; Paul Nowak; Calvin Hanson and soon to be baby Klika; one sister Betty (the late Stan) Slivon; three brothers: Rich (Kathy), Tom (Jan) and Jim (Ruth) Schuster; three sisters-in-law: Evelyn (the late Bill Ingish and the late Harvey Richter) Ingish; Yvonne (Bob) Baier, and the late Marcele Lockhart; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The Funeral Mass will take place at 12:00 p.m. (NOON) on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at St. Clare Parish (St. Patrick's site) in Askeaton. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Bob Kabat with burial to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Bill's name.
