Obituary

William H. "Bill" Fulkerson, age 80, of New Holstein, passed away Friday evening, January 9, 2015, at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born June 1, 1934, in Sleepy Eye, MN to the late William & Harriet (Maddox) Fulkerson. He graduated from Venice High School in Venice, CA with the class of 1952. Bill served in the US Navy from 1952 to 1962. On February 6, 1960, he married Phyllis Mullendore in Santa Monica, CA. When he and his wife returned back to New Holstein, he began working at Arps Corp where he remained until he retired in 1996 as their Data Processing Manager. He was a member of the New Holstein American Legion Post 124. Bill is survived by his wife, Phyllis; two children, Greg Fulkerson of St. Petersburg, FL and Nancy (Keith) Koene of New Holstein; six grandchildren, Amara & Alyssa Melchert, William "Willie" Fulkerson, Alisha (Brad) Thome, Andrea & Benjamin Koene; two great-grandchildren, Nia & MacKenzie, and a third great grandchild (baby Thome) to arrive this July; former daughter-in-law, Traci of Williams, AZ; his sister, Lila LaFlower of Escondido, CA; sister-in-law, Jenny Lee Wagner of Green Bay; former brother-in-law, Benjamin Wagner of Green Bay. He is further survived by nieces & nephews, Debbie, Denise, John, Christine, Edward, Karen and their families; other relatives, and friends. Preceding Bill in death were his parents, William & Harriet Fulkerson; brother, Charles Fulkerson; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Floyd & Melvina "Babe" Mullendore; and brother-in-law, Robert LaFlower A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at the Sippel Funeral Home 2618 Altona Avenue New Holstein, WI 53061. Military Honors conducted by the New Holstein American Legion Post 124 will take place at the funeral home following the service. Inurnment will take place in the spring at New Holstein Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, January 15th from 2:00 PM to 4:45 PM. Memorials may be directed to the family for the New Holstein First Responders.
