William F. Koenigs, age 67 of Mt. Calvary died on January 4th, 2012 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Fond du Lac. William (Bill) was born on December 24, 1944 to Michael and Mathilda (Karls) Koenigs. Bill graduated from Campbellsport High School in 1963. Through the years, Bill continued vocational training and spent most of his adult life as a licensed steam fitter. Bill was a member of St. Isidore Parish Holy Cross Church in Mt. Calvary. Bill is survived by five sisters, Mary (Edward) Lefeber of Irving, TX, Carol McCrory of Fond du Lac, Phyllis (Joseph) Simon of Fond du Lac, Genevieve (William) Kuhn of Allenton, and Sandra Halbach of Fond du Lac; five brothers, Gerald (Ann) of Kiel, Robert (Aileen) of Fond du Lac, Peter (Patricia) of Hancock, Stephen (Linda) of Marytown, Dale (Cheryl) of St. Cloud. Bill is further survived by two aunts, Irene Kohlmann of Mt. Calvary and Mary Chapin of Fond du Lac; two uncles, Francis (Elaine) Koenigs of Brookfield and Harry Sabel of Fond du Lac; three special Godchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, many aunts and uncles and one nephew, Neal Koenigs. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, January 9, 2012 at St. Isidore Parish Holy Cross Church 308 County Road W, Mt. Calvary. Rev. Steven Kropp OFM Cap will officiate. Burial will be in the spring in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday from 3:00 PM until the time of services.
