William J. Konwal, lovingly known as Bill, passed away on July 19, 2026, at the age of 70. He was born on December 5, 1955, to Ray and Josie Konwal, and will be remembered for his kind heart, his love for his family, and his passion for classic cars.
On October 21, 1989, Bill married the love of his life, Susan Lamb, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenleaf, Wisconsin. Susan preceded him in death on April 11, 2024. Their years together were filled with love, companionship, and cherished memories. Though losing Susan was one of life's greatest hardships, Bill carried her memory with him every day. Their family finds comfort in knowing they are reunited once again.
Bill is survived by his beloved son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Darian Konwal; his cherished granddaughters, Aubree and Lauren Konwal; his brother, Roger (Karen) Konwal; his sister, Trish Hunt; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
One of Bill's greatest joys was his prized 1965 Pontiac GTO, a car that reflected his appreciation for craftsmanship and classic American muscle. He loved spending time working on his GTO, keeping it in top condition, and proudly showing it at local car shows. Whether under the hood or talking with fellow enthusiasts, Bill found lasting friendships and happiness through his passion for automobiles.
Beyond his love of cars, Bill had a special place in his heart for dogs. He enjoyed their loyal companionship and was happiest when spending time with them. His kindness and affection for animals were just another reflection of the caring, gentle person he was.
Per Bill's request, cremation has taken place.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Bill will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion. Inurnment will follow at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Brillion.
Family and friends may gather at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., when brief family rites will be held.
Bill will be forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered.
