Wilmer Butch F. Stecker, age 92, of Brillion, passed away on Tuesday evening, August 30, 2011 at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton. Butch was born on April 4, 1919 in Chilton, son of the late Louis and Minnie (Graf) Stecker. On November 28, 1940, he married Dorothy Stecker at Trinity Lutheran Church, Rantoul. She preceded him in death on January 6, 2005. Butch served our country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Bloedorn-Becker-Jensen American Legion Post 126 of Brillion. Butch was a cheese maker, and later he was an inspector for the USDA. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening, spending time with his family, and putzing. Butch is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law: Joyce Stellbrink, Brillion and Grace & Dick Sengstock, Neenah; one son and daughter-in-law: Steve & Sue Stecker, Chilton; Grandchildren: Kim (Dennis) Hoyer, Jody (Mike) Brault, both of Brillion, Gary (Kari) Sengstock, Combined Locks, Amy (Chris) Bush, Appleton, Stacy (Kenny) Hawley, Neenah, Parker Stecker, and Jack Stecker, both at home in Chilton; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters-in-law: David & Myrtle Stecker, Brillion and Marie Stecker, Kaukauna; one brother-in-law: Norman Stecker, Brillion; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, son-in-law: Kenny Stellbrink, three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Leonard & Myrnabelle, Norman & Virginia, and Robert; and two sisters-in-law: Gladys (Clarence) Gotter and Elaine Stecker. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2011 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brillion. Officiating at the service will be the Revs. Jonathan Bourman and Ross Henzi. Military rites will be accorded at church by the American Legion Post of Brillion. Burial will follow at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Brillion.
